Booking & Payment

How far in advance should I book?

For peak seasons (December-March for winter and July-August for summer), we recommend booking 3-6 months in advance. During off-peak times, 1-2 months notice is usually sufficient, though last-minute bookings are sometimes possible.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept bank transfers, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), and PayPal. All payments are processed in Swiss Francs (CHF).

Is there a security deposit?

For longer stays, we require a refundable security deposit of CHF 300, which will be returned within 7 days after checkout, provided there is no damage to the property or its contents.

Can I cancel my booking if my plans change?

Yes, cancellations are possible according to our cancellation policy. Depending on how far in advance you cancel, you may be eligible for a partial or full refund. Please see our Booking Process page for detailed cancellation terms.

Accommodation Details

How many people can stay at the chalet?

Our chalet can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people. The main bedroom has a double bed, the second bedroom has twin beds, and the living room has a convertible sofa bed for 2 people.

Is the chalet suitable for children?

Absolutely! We welcome families and provide child-friendly amenities including a high chair and crib (available upon request). The outdoor area is safe for children to play, and we're located close to family-friendly activities.

Is the chalet accessible for people with reduced mobility?

Unfortunately, the chalet has stairs and no elevator, which makes it less suitable for guests with severe mobility issues. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs so we can advise if our accommodation is appropriate for your situation.

Is bed linen and towels included?

Yes, fresh bed linen and towels are provided for all guests. For stays longer than one week, we offer a weekly linen change service at no additional cost.

Is there WiFi at the chalet?

Yes, high-speed WiFi is available throughout the chalet and is included in your stay at no additional charge.

Location & Transport

How far is the chalet from the ski lifts?

Our chalet is approximately a 3-minute drive or 15-minute walk from the Titlis cable car station. During winter, a free ski bus stops 200 meters from the chalet, providing regular service to all ski areas.

Do I need a car during my stay?

A car is not essential as Engelberg has good public transportation, including buses and trains. However, having a car provides more flexibility, especially for exploring the surrounding areas or for grocery shopping.

Is there parking available?

Yes, we provide free private parking for 2 cars directly at the chalet. In winter, the parking area is regularly cleared of snow.

How far is the nearest grocery store?

The nearest supermarket (Coop) is about 1.5 km from the chalet, approximately a 5-minute drive or 20-minute walk. There's also a smaller convenience store about 800 meters away for basic essentials.

Services & Amenities

Is final cleaning included?

Yes, final cleaning is included in the price. We simply ask that you leave the chalet in a reasonable condition, dispose of all trash, and wash any dishes before departure.

Is there a washing machine in the chalet?

Yes, the chalet is equipped with a washing machine and dryer for your convenience. Laundry detergent is provided.

Can you arrange ski passes or equipment rental?

Yes, we can help arrange ski passes and equipment rental at preferential rates. Please let us know your requirements when booking, and we'll provide information on the best options.

Are pets allowed?

We allow well-behaved pets by prior arrangement only and subject to an additional cleaning fee of CHF 50. Please inform us when booking if you plan to bring a pet.
